Barracuda web filter at work now thinks the forums are "Parked Sites".

I spend 8 hours a day on a computer at work. I might spend an hour at night at home. And when I'm home I mostly relax and don't post.

You can't post and relax? That's often how I relax.

I get requests from numerous registrars to transfer my personal domain. It seems likely that registrars would also try to drum up business by advertising domains they want to transfer as "available" when they ain't.

When I'm not at work I can be out doing real things. Why would I spend my time arguing with imaginary made-up characters on the internet?

Ah, I remember those relaxing conversations in the PWL. Perhaps you meant the Lounge.

Arguments can be relaxing, as long as you don't take your own ideology too seriously.

For me the forum is always multi-tasked with watching TV or something. I've never told my friends "hey, I can't meet you for dinner because someone on the Internet is wrong about something and I need to correct them."

I'm also very lucky that my current job provides me with a lot of flexibility and so I find myself running some errands during the day and working in the late evening.

Obligatory XKCD:

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

I once swam within 15 feet of a barracuda and lived to tell about it. Truth.

I had a moray hit me (hit my goggles) while diving along the Florida reef off the coast of Key West. Didn't even know the eel was there until it struck for my face, then I smacked it with the prod I was carrying. I'm pretty sure it made me piss in my suit. Neither of us was happy about the encounter. Eels... *shudder*
