I'm sure you have seen the pictures of the iPhone5C in their packaging by now. Quite frankly, they look like the Nokia color palette IMHO. (almost taffy like).

So what sort of plastic iPhone 5C would you actually consider buying?

I personally like the shiny black/white ala 3GS. I'd even consider a metallic silver/gray. Even the 'dull' white/smoke shell in some of the leaks look alright. But I reckon black would be a winner (possibly because it looks like the plastic face plate will be black).

Making the plastic look metallic with a clearcoat, wouldn't be all that bad IMHO, even in indigo, sage or ruby

Cheers

If they made an indigo one, it would save me buying a case for it.

Although from these colors here, it looks like they are going for a muted pastel look. Yes, taffy is a good word!

If these are the colours, white as first choice, blue or yellow second choice, pink or green, not really, maybe green if I had to.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

While bright colors appeal to me, I don't like to draw a lot of attention to my electronics.

I'd go white. I like the green though but I don't think I have the balls to rock a neon green phone.

All that said, I have no plans to ever go any color other than black, because as we al know, once you go black...

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Indeed.

Reverting to 2006 would be quite the sensation for Apple.

You were seriously considering, even for a second, that Apple would add a micro-SD slot to an iDevice? After having made it pretty much clear in 2007 that they would never do so?

Really?

None. I always use a very slim profile case with my iPhone. So colors would be useless for me.

They also appeared pretty committed to not releasing a mouse with more than one button.

Things change, sweetheart. If technology were entrenched in doing things one way forever, we'd never get anywhere, would we?

You never know - five years from now, Apple may release an iDevice with expandable storage. It's not impossible to consider.

They never released a mouse that had more than one button*. They did release a one-button mouse that could be configured for contextual click, and that was more than fifteen years after they started supporting multi-button mice.

I very much doubt that Apple will ever add expansion slots to iDevices. They're removing what they can from all other product lines, as it is.

*) unless you count the side buttons on the Mighty Mouse. God, those were annoying.

You're just arguing for the sake of arguing at this point. Have fun with that.

No, I'm arguing for the sake of arguing that point.

Apple decide pretty clearly what complexity they are not going to add. They don't renege until they find a way to add functionality without making the product appear more complex to the user.

They might make an iDevice "expandable", but are unlikely to do so by adding a slot. No, I can't imagine how that would work, either. But then, the Magic Mouse isn't exactly obvious except in hindsight, either.

That's a nice looking piece of glass+plastic.

I think an all black iPhone with that finish would be cool. minimalistic!

Yeah, that looks great. I wonder if that is the 5C or the 5S.

Oh ok. Looks good. I'd like a plastic which looks like that then, sort of metallic.

Of the iPhone 5, i'm not a fan of the 2-tone back (in fact i'd prefer the 4/S's back to the 5).
