On shutdown last night everything was fine. On trying to connect this morning, Remote Access tells me Modem Port
might be busy with another app. Not true. Nothing else is open. Have done the usual, zapped Pram, rebuilt DT, ran
TechTool, checked AppleTalk. Nothing I do connects me.

Do I trash Modem prefs? Remote Access prefs? Any ideas?

G4 400 Internal Modem

Thanks

Problem solved. I had downloaded the free "PIM" Palm Desktop. After installing the program, an app.called *Serial
Port Monitor* was placed in the Startup Items Folder.

After removing said app.from the Startup Folder, I was able to log on without a hitch.
Thanks for your suggestion.
