c'mon, surely someone here is interested in talking about the work rather than the applications that create it.

Pay attention to anything in France? Independent films? Hell no!
I had a WCIII match on at the time.
All I know is that Mikey Moore should be arrested [for aiding enemy] and put on a mandatory diet. Fat bastard.

i was referring to the advertising and design awards portion of the cannes festival.

does anyone here actually care about and want to discuss work or are we just focused on the applications and procedures for producing it? just thought it would be nice to chat about the ideas behind the work, not the nuts and bolts of advertising and design production applications.

after coming here for three years i'm beginning to think this is more of a print production thread than an advertising and design forum.

I am new to this site, mainly because i bought new hardware and had some questions about my powerbook, networking and osx. Therefore most of the discussion I look for on this site are very specific questions and answers about hardware and software. I frequent other, more design based, sites for true design ideas and "brainy" discussions of typography, white space and design.

Probably many of us designers are either too busy to spend time casually chatting on this site, or the real artists are wanting to get away from the computer some.

Where on the web are you following the Cannes awards? Any good discussions?

there used to be more conversation along those lines (design) on this forum. ah, the good old days.

Come on! He's like Peter Griffin with an unshaved face. God what a fat man.
IMO, he's a Commie propagandist. He remind me of a bastard offspring of a threesome of Joseph Goebbels, Leni Riefenstahl, and Lenin. Who was the woman? Ew.
And he's a racist.
Design awards? I wasn't paying attention. Who won for what?

On a side note, this has nothing to do with Cannes Film festival : Cannes is a town in France with a lot of Festivals/Congresses hapenning (MIDEM, MIPCOM, MIPTV, GSM world, Cannes Film Festival & Cannes Lions Awards among others...)

And I don't understand the link between Michael Moore and this topic except both attracted the attention of a troll.
