Anything I should be worried about compatibility wise purchasing generic memory? I found a chip on pricewatch.com for like 39$ but I'm worried it's not compatible! Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for in a 512MB PC 133 168 Pin chip that might not work / will work in my mac? I've got a 733mhz G4 tower and I need that chip!

That cheap stuff won't work on your Mac. It only works in VIA mobo PCs.

Whatever you buy, be sure it is Kingston, Crucial, or ceritifed to work in your mac. Use Deal Ram.Com.
