I have a full 500g SATA drive in my Mac Pro. I want to transfer the data to a new 1TB drive in another bay. What is the best way to transfer data? I was just going use Disk Utility and create a Mirror Image on the 1TB. Is this correct?

If so, after reformatting the 500g, I'd like to put my OSX drive data on it with the same process. Is this ok?

I was wondering if there might be issues with permissions, or pathways?

Suggestions welcome. TIA.

You shouldn't have any issues. You could also use a third-party app like Carbon Copy Cloner, which I highly recommend, it's a great app.

And here I was hoping glideslope wanted some cool hardware mod. Optical drives with mirror-finish fronts.

To match his mirror-modded case.

Thought so. Just wanted some positive reinforcers.

Nice Mirror Drives.
