i want to play my xbox 360 during my car trips. I have a power adapter for the 360 so i can be pluged into a ciggarette lighter. i was wondering if it was possible to use the mac book as a moniter for the console. You can buy and xbox 360 vga cable for 30$ so all you need is a VGa input to mini DVi port right? or is this horribly wrong? ANy links to doing this or the appropratie cables?

The mini DVI port on the MacBook is for input only.

You'd need to buy a video input device like the $150 ElGato Hybrid.
