IKEA!!! It was $175 CANADIAN, I have to pick up a little stand there tomorrow for my Linksys wireless router, right now it is sitting between my new monitors (replaced my 17" Apple LCD with two Sony G420S's), and I want to get it up and above them to improve the range. My wife loves her iBook even more now that I got her an Airport card!
I dunno why my digicam is taking such blurry pictures..?
Cheers,
raferx

Well. A long time ago someone strongly objected CRT because he said he's sick of the flickers blah blah blah......and now we see something pretty ironic

MY GOD LEONIS! You are getting alot of mileage on this one... ; )
I WAS very enamoured with my Apple LCD, and I still admit that it was a very nice monitor, but these new 19" Sony G420S's I got are fantastic! Incredible color, and sharpness. Thanks for steering me towards them! I'm glad I didn't go with the Viewsonic's, the Sony's were the only real choice, more expensive (!) but worth it! Especially after seeing your 21" Sony.

No Ikea? I thought they were everywhere! They make fairly decent stuff that won't break the bank. I couldn't pass on a desk that big for such a reasonable price... $110 (US). I like the simple style.

Yah I want to head to ikea now!

Oh yeah, while I'm at it, I'm thinking of getting a set of 17" sonys to sit on either side of my monitor

Though that means I'll need another table!

You weren't kidding abotu Quartx extreme, it is alot faster. My card arrived today and after a little bit of trouble getting it flashed, I was able to figure it out. Popped it into my mac and already I sense a speed improvement. However, I am just now noticed that there is a flicker when I type. It doesn't appear to be there when I'm not typing but every key I press it seems to flicker a bit. Any ideas? I'm using a Hercules 3d prophet II mx 32mb. The speed is great but the flicker could prove to be a deal breaker.
Edit-I just noticed it sometimes correpsonds with keystrokes or mouse movement/clicks. I'm using white apple pro keyboard and a logitech mouse if that matters. Never had any issues with them before. Any ideas?

I'd stick another monitor on my desk but the short side needs new support beams (which are on order) because they're not really holding the glass up o_O

New member to my setup

A BRAND NEW Sony LCD

Got it off from eBay. I actually wasn't planning to get it but the deal was just too good and that would be stupid not to go for it. raferx is playing a big role on my bidding/purchase decision

It's brand new and sealed in the box

The seller also locates in Vancouver! That means I don't have to pay for shipping.

Guess the price.

$300!

Also in the same duo-grey tone as my CRT. Matching setup. Can't complain

And the second video card I bidded from eBay also arrived today. Costs me $10.

Xmas is coming early

Looks sweet Leonis! Glad I helped to convince you it was a good deal. I think it will be the perfect palette monitor to go with that big fat Sony CRT. Enjoy your new work/play space! I'll try to get over this week and see it first hand. TTYS.
Cheers,

Here's the new 1.25 Ghz dual I can now call my own. Took this picture about 20 minutes after Airborne Express dropped it off. I'd forgotten how cool it is to open the shipping box and see a wrapped up Mac inside - it's quite a ceremony for me. After admiring every detail, I finally moved it all upstairs to the office, where setup took about 10 minutes or so.

The room is still a work in progress (rather plain without any shelves or posters/pictures yet), but here's the new rig:

I still can't believe how FAST this thing is. Of course I'm coming off of an eMac/iBook diet, so the duals are like heaven to me. It's GREAT. Finally may have a computer that I'll keep for a while. I just can't see myself taking a step backwards.

Spent WAY too much money today. Dual 1GHz, an extra 512 MB of RAM, and a 20 GB iPod. Got a really sweet price on everything, and there's the display rebate... but still.

I swiped the 32x CD-RW out of the PC at work, so Ill stick that in the second optical drive bay tonight.

Were also getting a new digital video camera for Christmas this year, so this will be my video editing machine. Cant even imagine what that would have been like on the iBook.

Man, life is good.

BTW, any iBook users out there wondering if their high speed internet connection is sucking.... it's your computer!! Man, this thing online - it's like there's a second cable modem plugged in. FAST.

Take my advice, you don't want to take an HTML-file as an image
Instead that 7.html you should change the image to the following:
