Has any one used the new 5G on the iHome dock and alarm clock? Some forums say they are compatible but not necessarily designed to be so.

I haven't tried it, but it should work, since the 5G iPod fits in some of the older docks.

I just bought the Logitech mm50 speakers for my new 5G ipod. I can't seem to get the Alarm to work correctly.

I set it and it comes on at the right time BUT the ipod immediately PAUSES so my playlist does not play.

I've tried every combination of turning the mm50 power off while music is playing, after the playlist is done, etc...

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks
Mark

Just to reaffirm this..

Logitech says that the mm50 does NOT support the Alarm function... what a rip.

I use an iHome clock radio with my 60GB iPod video. In general, it works, but it does not seat firm with the iPod adapters that come with it. I used the same adapter that my 3G iPod uses, but sometimes it gets staticky and I have to wiggle it around until it stops. I would think the iHome must have a 5G adapter by now. I have used a 5G in a JBL center stage with no problems.
