Okay, so I screwed up my Macbook this week and had to reformat and reinstall. Not sure what the hell I did, but anyway...

Now I can't access my OS X shared folder via Vista. I can see it, but can't access it. Both my user names on the Mac and on Vista are the same. What settings do I have to correct to access this?

I can access Vista's Public folders via my Macbook, but not the other way around.

Do you have Windows sharing enabled in the Sharing pane of System Preferences?
