I like to save the short QT clips I find online to my hard drive to share with friends etc and for refernece. Most of the time these are in the form of film trailers, apple infomercials etc.

Today I stumbled upon

http://www.stupidvideos.com/

and found some of their stuff funny but found I couldn't ctrl click on the QT movie to bring up the save option. I also tried looking in the browser cache just incase but all I could find were .cache files (I'm using Safari mostly)

Any tips would be welcome.

source doesn't provide any links for the QT files unless I'm missing something.

yeah a frameset basically points the browser to multiple html documents to arrange in regions of the window. that's what allows you to scroll only part of the page. you can right (or control) click on a part of the page and say View Frame Source (or something similar) in most browsers.

btw, I can't seem to even view these videos in IE or Mozilla. Furthermore Mozilla directs me to a Windows Media plugin download page. How do you view these, and how do you know they're quicktime format?

There's an option on the right to choose between WMP and QT formats and also window size.

No - I think you need to select a video from the right side first and click play - I then think it tries to load WMP - then there should be some drop down menus/ check boxes to rate the clip and to change the size / quality although biggest and best quality is reserved for members.

ok, I finally got it, and I used View Frame Source to find the direct link (it was http://216.127.90.17/~admin1/Medium_QT/Ice_Fishing.mov so you can probably search the source for ".mov") and opened it with QTPro and saved it. there seems to be no protection on it. This was in Mozilla
