Hi Guys,
i have an old 66 AV powermac (yes very old, and it has video in and out. I'm wondering if there is a way to connect my VCR to the old mac and use it to tranfer movies to my iMac.
What are the chances?
Thanks

You can't access the hardware of the powermac from the iMac. All you can do is import the videos on the powermac and then transfer the captured files. But since the powermac probably only captures at 160x120, you probably want to acquire some other capture device and ignore the powermac. If you have a (friend with a) DV camera, that would work. There are lots of other options, but they might cost some money. You might want to ask your local Apple Store what their return policy is on 3rd party products

Thanks,
I thought as much. I just hoped there would be a way of using the powermac or maybe the card in a firwire case or something.
