ILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AP) -- An 11-year-old boy was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting a 76-year-old neighborhood woman in her home as three of his friends stood watch.

Police said that for a week before the attack, the boys had been "terrorizing" the woman in her house, repeatedly breaking in and taking cash and other items.

The woman, who lived alone, told police she was taking a sponge bath in the kitchen Friday when the 11-year-old walked in, demanded money and then ordered her to take off her clothes and go into the bedroom, according to court papers.

The boy's brother, a 13-year-old who was among the three other boys also charged, said he heard the woman say: "I'm just an old, half-crippled lady, I'm not going."

The woman said the 11-year-old put on a condom and tried to rape her, followed by a second boy.

The 11-year-old was charged in juvenile court with sexual assault and being a party to burglary and criminal trespassing. The other boys -- ages 11, 12 and 13 -- were charged with being a party to burglary and criminal trespassing.

In court Wednesday, the 11-year-old facing the less serious charges called out, "Hi, Mom" after spotting his adoptive mother.

"I'm very hurt because my son was raised as a good boy," she said outside court. She complained that police abused the boys to obtain confessions.

I cant think of any influence that would cause anyone to want to do this. Sick world out there.

"At times, she said, the number of youths who entered her home at will numbered as many as six, including a 16 year-old, who tried to rape her."

Can you even get a hard on at 11? What the hell was he thinking? When I was 11, the last thing that I'd be thinking would be,"Hmm...I feel the need to rape a 76 year old."

Thank you CollinG3G4 for that link. Here's a bit of cruel-irony for you:

The woman said that she did not call police "because she was afraid they would take her to the Mental Health Complex, as they had done in the past."

When the woman was given an examination for sexual assault in mid-September, workers at Aurora Sinai Medical Center's women's assessment center told police the woman had suffered injuries as a result of the sexual assault, the petition says.

The woman was subsequently detained at the county Mental Health Complex under the belief that she was in need of services and unable to care for herself.

Some can, though it's awfully early.

Either way, this is seriously sick. Give the kid due justice, and then find out what (or, more likely, who) messed the kid up like this and mete out justice there too, as appropriate.

Eh?!? You can get a hard-on pretty much as soon as you start having blood flow...being able to ejaculate is another issue altogether. But the ability to get an erection is not dependent on one's ability to ejaculate. I remember getting stiffies in kindergarten and before. I just didn't know what the heck was going on at the time.

That's freaking sick...

How the heck did a kid get an idea like that... and I'm sorry no kid like that is a good boy... that mother deserves some serious evaluation... as does everyone else who had any responsibility for this kid.

Hehe...nah, you probably just don't remember getting them 'cause you didn't know what was going on (vibrations in the car/bus usually triggered 'em for me at that age).

This has nothing to do about "missing out on the action." Rape is not an act of sex; it's an act of demonstrating the ultimate control over an individual. This boy, and his buddies were terrorizing the woman for a few day to test her and see how much they could get away with. It's not insignificant that they picked on a helpless elderly lady. They decided that they could denigrate her to the ultimate degree.

I haven't been to Summerfest in three years. It's lost all appeal to me.

I was going to try and make it to Encore but work and school interfered. There are a couple of good shows (bands and theatre) coming to town this fall/winter, so I'm excited about that.

And we did have a really nice summer, so I can't complain about the weather (yet). Most of the people here just suck.

Man, I'm the same way, I have very vivid memories as early as age two. I'm not bullsh!ting you either and I'm 27 now. I had a operation when I was two years old and remember every detail, taking me from my mom and walking me down the hall. They put a clear mask on my face(anythesia i guess) and I remember being fascinated with the green mask the person next to me had on. I also remember throwing up after I woke up. Weird stuff, and kindergarden, I can remember like it happened yesterday.

Yeah, I can remember having erections at a pretty young age. In fact, around 11, I would able to orgasm without ejaculating.

The thing that IS quite amazing about this is that this kid got the idea in the first place. It might surprise you, but this kid wasn't necessarily sexually abused. He is, however, a boy with a lot of anger issues. He needs to feel in control. During a very young age, he must have seen some abuse where he felt a loss of control. He has potential for split personalities. He needed to display his anger/rage to the other kids in the group. He probably already is a sociopath.

There's my profile of our young rapist wannabe.

But based on my experience in MPS, I am not at all surprised.
