Question: Why does print sharing over Airport only work if the computer to which my Epson Photo 915 is connected is actually physically plugged in (via ethernet) to my D-Link router?

If I try to print from my iBook over the airport network, the application from which I am trying print hangs and then crashes. But as soon as I plug the ethernet cable into my desktop system and send the document to print, Print Centre cranks up on the iBook and we're in business.

Before I got a wireless router, I ran my desktop (G4 iMac) as the Airport Software Bases Station. All other Aiport equipped computers could share the printer purely over the Airport network under that set-up but not now that I have the router.

I have probably missed something really simple here and it's no big deal. But I am curious to know the answer!

Thanks!
