After the Vetrans Affairs guy got his laptop stolen several weeks ago, you would have thought that the SMART IT PROFESSIONALS would have recalled ALL laptops with sensitive data on them, and instead, locked up the computers with that kind of data in a SKIF.
NOPE, IT Managers seem to be the stupidest type of IT Professional you can be. It has happened not just ONCE since the VA theft, but several more times from other organizations. How incompetent ARE THEY?? How stupid are the board of directors et al of these financial and benefits institutions that they can't call in those responsible forkeeping the data to bee sure that laptops aren't their for the stealing? Perhaps the same mindset that lets ANY FORM OF WINDOWS Servers be used, yet say they have a 'secure environment'.
