Print to windows via samba/cups

Is printing to windows via samba/cups still busted in 10.2.6 I heard that they broke the authentication with windows in their last release. Does anyone know of a way to fix this problem so I can print to windows via samba/cups in 10.2.6?
I'm trying to print to a windows 2000 server machine.

nope. still busted. For now, I think your best bet is to:
(1) wait for Panther
(2) save whatever you're printing as a .pdf and email to a PC from which you can print it.

I'm trying to print to a windows 2000 server machine.
I print to a WinXP box from my iBook running 10.2.6 with no problem at all.

If you can't get samba/cups to work windows 2000 server has print services for macintosh.

I've tried absolutely everything in an attempt to print to a SMB shared printer on a Windows XP machine. No dice. You can however enable Unix print services on both Windows 2000 and XP and print from an OSX system. I resorted to that method and it works pretty well.

yeah, cups still works. i print to my linux box, over a wireless network no less ;c)
