Empire obviously but Sith should take second. I wonder if New Hope will beat Jedi.

First place is obvious, but I'd say it's a close call between A New Hope and Revenge of the Sith for second place. If it weren't for the atrocious love scenes in Revenge of the Sith it would take second place easily, but those things drag it down a long way. Ebert said it best: "I've seen greeting cards that express more passion".

In terms of scenes I liked the clone battle on Geononis the most followed by Hoth.

Empire.
There's no such film as "A New Hope" it's just plain old "Star Wars."

Anyone who is not a syncoFANt of this nonsense may not know the official name for the FIRST Star Wars film back in the 70's with Mark Hammill and Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher is "A NEW HOPE."
This crap (introducing episode 4 first, then doing sequels and prequels and just demonstrating they can make their customers lay down and spread em while getting rich in the process) may have inspired the same bs business marketing model used by Apple.
I saw the first one ("A NEW HOPE") and that was enogh.
Anyway, may the farce be with y'all.

I voted Star Wars New Hope because none of the movies could ever capture that feeling that you got when you saw Star Wars for the first time way back in '77, it was mindblowing!
However for Special Effects "Revenge of the Sith" takes the Cake, and for the best story I'd say "Empire Strikes Back."

1- Episode IV - A New Hope (Still by far the best episode, no matter whether Han shoots first or not...)
2- Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (The first half is very cool, the Yoda stuff and the city in the clouds part kind of crappy)
3- Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (If it weren't for the horrible dialogue, this would be in second place)
4- Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (Again, the first half is good, everything on "endor" complete garbage)
5- Episode II - Attack of the Clones (Only because of the battle at the end, otherwise it would share last place with episode 1)
6- Episode I - The Phantom Menace (Jar Jar and Anakin as a kid...n'uff said)

Han doesn't shoot first. He should just shoot. Greedo should not shoot at all.

I really don't dislike Episode I: The Phantom Menace at all. I thought there were a lot of great things about it. Liam Neeson gave a very good performance as Qui-Gon Jinn. Jar Jar Binks, while certainly annoying, was not as offensive or bad as people make him out to be. I thought Ian McDiarmid was wonderful as Palpatine/Sidious, and the lightsaber combat between Darth Maul and the two Jedi was extremely well-done, even if it looked a little too choreographed (very often the combatants look like they are trying to hit each other's lightsabers and not trying to kill eachother).
I will say, however, that Episode I's rendition of Yoda was very weak. Bad lines, the puppet looked really odd, not good. Episodes II and III went CG and restored the beauty of that character. But what's with his fits of indigestion as the Jedi are being slaughtered? I kept feeling like he should have said something.
Also, I really liked Episode II. The dialogue between Jango Fett and Obi-Wan was genuinely tense and the ensuing fight was very engaging. Also, Dooku's speech to the captive Obi-Wan was a nice bit of exposition that helped buoy the film.
OK, so Jake Lloyd can't act his way out of a paper bag, and the subplot about the decoy queen was basically a cheap way to manufacture drama and had the effect of subtracting from the amount of dialogue Natalie Portman had to learn. It's still Star Wars, very compelling and watchable and a lot of fun.
Also, the best peformer of all in the prequels has to be Ewan McGregor, who is incredibly believable as a young Obi-Wan as played by Alec Guiness. It's an understated and elegant performance with just enough gusto to carry it through. He was the glue that held the prequels together, along with McDiarmid, who may be the finest actor of the bunch. They don't give Academy Awards for acting to films like Star Wars, but they really should consider McDiarmid for Episode III. He was absolutely riveting to watch!

Actually Ep2 impressed me much more than ep3 did. I think it is because I was expecting the worst after Ep1 the worst movie of all time.
I think after I watch ep3 a few more times i will like it more than ep2.

Agreed. It's most likely because he ignored Lucas' direction and did what was best for the character, as well as absolutely nailing Alec Guinness' accent.

It'd be nice if Steven Spielberg took a crack at it. I think his vision and attention to detail would create a great SW film.
