Hahhaha no. I just thought it was funny.

At the time I was bored and particularly amused by the "every time you masturbate god kills a kitten" thing.

"mostly harmless"

because my brother stole "DON'T PANIC" before i could... and i couldn't have the same thing as my brother, that would just be silly (but it's okay to have the same thing as thousands of other people)

It says my name and then on the next line it says "Water Resistant"

My brother in law got it for me after he pushed me in a swimming pool while I had my old ipod in my pocket.

Dirt. And I used a 3m greenpad to give the back chrome a brushed finish. It looks better that way.

Mine says:

Arise and sing, all
ye who dwell in dust

I'm moving to the desert soon, it sounded suitably tongue-in-cheek. It's a slightly modified Isaiah 25-26, if you must know.

Hooray.

Oop, almost forgot to add: It's a 40GB iPod Photo.

Shouldn't it be "If you steal this, I will track you down"?

I just ordered one for our son for his 18th birthday. It will say (it's in transit now) "Happy 18th" along with his camp nickname (which I will not divulge here).

Now I'm wondering how long FedEx takes to get such a tiny package from Shanghai to San Antonio... I'm probably more excited than the kid is.

Mine says:

"I yearn to thee who art darkness in thy rising".

I was into a lot of black metal and stuff at the time. It is a line from a Cradle of Filth song. Probably originates elsewhere.

Just says my name. So if someone steals it, people will be asking them why their iPod has someone else's name on it. And, if that person is decent enough to return it, they know who to return it to.

Free Laser Engraving

Because seeing the faces of people who see it on the back of my iPod are quite humorous:

"Is this a demo unit?"
"Hey, did you know that you can put whatever you want there, right?"
"Is this some kind of joke?"
"Are you stupid?"

Its even better when they don't have the nerve say anything. You can read the stormclouds of doubt on their wrinkled brows.

Edit: The runner up was 'Tentacles are for lovers"

I gave two iPod mini's as gifts this year. To my mom, a green one engraved with:

Little green, the color when the spring is born

(which just barely fit). And to my sister, a pink one engraved with:

Mr. Pink

My mini says "Living Life 26.2 miles at a Time"

I've owned 1G/2G/3G/mini ipods. I use it running and it has never failed me. Once, I was running with my unprotected 3G ipod and ran into a thunderstorm. I was drenched, but my ipod didn't skip a beat. Lets just say that my iPods have logged many more miles than most people's ipods
