With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)

I think they all run at 4200RPM.

All current iBook drives spin at 4200 rpm. I know that Toshiba makes 5400 rpm drives these days, but they're not built into any iBooks yet.

The 700MHz/30GB model has the Toshiba MK3018GAS drive installed.
(Toshiba doesn't provide info for this drive; but I think the MK3018GAP is a pretty close cousin.)
I would guess the lower model has the Toshiba MK2018GAS drive:
<a href="http://www.toshiba.com/taissdd/products/features/MK2018gas-Over.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.toshiba.com/taissdd/products/features/MK2018gas-Over.shtml</a>
The specs says 4200 rpm for both.
