OS X Server not in chooser

Help! I am using a G4 server running OS X server 10.1.2. Suddenly the server has dropped from the Appletalk in the OS 9 Macs. TCP/IP still works and they can connect using it. Appletalk is enabled in the System Prefs and in the Server Administrator. Any ideas out there?

that is a simple one... turn on appletalk on the server. By default, OSX Server only uses Appletalk over tcp. The chooser is an "old world" app. It only sees traditional Appletalk shares.
I personaly dont like chooser, and am glad to see it gon in X. You would be beter off using the Network Browser.
Appletalk over TCP is MUCH faster than plain appletalk.

You mean there is another place to activate Appletalk other than in the System Prefs and in the Server Administrator? Please tell me where it is. I can't find it.

Four easy steps to fix (at least temporarily) this problem;
1) Turn AppleTalk off in the System Preferences.
2) Click the Apply Now button.
3) Turn AppleTalk back on.
4) Click the Apply Now button.
I am not sure what causes this problem, but this will make the server re-appear in the Chooser, until the next time it happens ...
Anyone have a permanent solution?

I think you mean AppleShare or Apple Filing Protocol (AFP) not AppleTalk.

After some time and sweat I think I've fixed my problem. I made sure File sharing was turned off on all OS 9 workstations and I took an old 10mb Asante hub off the network. Since then the server hasn't dropped off the Chooser.
