I need some info about IDE-to-Firewire chipsets. I know that the Oxford 911 chipset provides transfer speeds of 400Mbps. But I found some Firewire enclosures that use a Genesys chipset. Does this provide 400Mbps transfer speeds too?

No idea. What are the prices of the other chipsets you're seeing? If the price isn't a WHOLE LOT better than Oxford, and/or there's no soild proof of it being better or even just as good, I'd stick with the Oxford chipset, not just for matters of speed, but a proven track record.
