Iris 1.0.1 released, offers screen recording for OS X
Static Z Software has announced the release of an update for
Iris, a screen recorder app for OS X. Allowing users to record directly to h.264, Apple ProRes, or record and encode later, the app's ability to capture is optimized with GPU-accelerated processing and encoding on supported Macs. Its audio capturing can record from two different sources, including audio from the user's Mac; Iris can also target audio from specific applications. Users can pause and resume recordings as desired, record with Retina quality where supported, and have access to full hotkey support. A free,
watermarked version of Iris v1.0.1 is available, with the full version accessible through an in-app purchase for $20.
