Hi I'm making a site in dreamweaver and I'm using layers to do it however I'm having trouble with the layers there are 6 layers on the page one of which has a background picture and the others have a background color with text inside then too. When I preview in browser I see all the content in the layers i.e the text but not the background colors I have check the visability sttings for them all and they appear to be correct and I also tried changing to a background picture but the problem remained the same does anyone know whats going on here?

Maybe you can post some code or a link so those of us who do not know Dreamweaver but know html may help you.

Alternatively, you may try posting this question on the Web Developer Forum, where someone might know exactly what you're talking about.

Hey! been on the forums a wile watching but heres me joined and posting!!

But anyway, to the problem, its no fault of dreamweaver, its due to the browser not supporting the property. If you run "Target Browser check' on the page dreamweaver will say something along the lines of 'CSS Property layer-background-color not supported' then a list of browsers. To keep the design you want try using a 1x1 pixel image in that color an set it as the layer background instead.
