Hello o Grand 10.2 Gurus ...

I'm experiencing some rather odd System Preferences behavior in 10.2. It seems that:

a) I have three "Keyboard" preferences listed. One is listed under "Hardware" (where it's supposed to be), and there are two other, identical ones listed in "Other." They all launch the correct keyboard prefs, btw.

b) My "Accounts" preference has completely disappeared.

I did a search in this forum and found the following advice, which I tried (and did not work for me):

"Quit System Preferences
Delete com.apple.systempreferences.plist from your /Library/Preferences folder
Open System Preferences again and see what's there"

Anyone have any other suggestions? Or will 10.2.1 fix this rather nasty bug?

Thanks folks!

I solved the problem myself, without too much tinkering. Here's the solution:

I downloaded Stephane Sudre's marvelous program "Diablotin." It allows you to tweak (amongst other things) your Preference Pane settings. Even though the setting for "Accounts" was "enabled", I disabled it, quit System Preferences, opened System Preferences, opened Diablotin, and then enabled "Accounts."

Amazingly, after quitting and restarting the Prefs again, "Accounts" appeared where it should be -- and the multiple "Keyboard" prefs had vanished!
