Lovely!

BTW, I just noticed something in your latest screenie. The tab/chiclet button is semi-transparent, which lets the background panel line bleed through... that's not bad in itself, but it makes the button look like it has a sharp plastic gloss to it (like Aqua). I think it might be better to give is a "fake" transparency by giving it an opaque background, but still have the translucent layers. I dunno if you know what I'm talking about, and I dunno if anybody but me even cares in the least bit, but just thought I'd point that out. Oh, and, have you considered giving active window titlebars a 1 px bevel? It looks kinda weird how it just suddenly morphs into the toolbar.

I don't like the scroll buttons, it's just too shiny. It doesn't have the same almost frosted plastic look as the title bar.

That's the area that the scroll bar can move around in (not including the arrow buttons, the opposite cap, and the scrollbars themselves). Anyway, the way you have your scroll wells, they pop out, instead of "sunken in" like Aqua's... if you want them sunken in, you need to reverse the gradient.

Oh no, I didn't mean to imply that they looked bad I just wasn't sure if that's what you were actually going for. In fact, they probably look better popping out, because then the sunken scrollbars feel "within reach"... if the wells were sunken, then it would seem to hard to "reach" the scrollbars.

Just do whatever you feel is best.

If your still taking feedback on the scroll bars; I'd suggest just plane black arrows. It's all about contrast. Otherwise it's looking sexy.

I like the theme. Coming along sweetly.

Would you:
1. make the text anything but black - it is difficult to read
2. make the background of the icons in the finder window a shade of "cherry" - the glaring white detracts from the aesthetic feel (and once again make the text white or something
3. and finally, make the finder icon text labels white

and....the scroll bar track needs some more definition to make it look carved out.

Nice. I'd work on the progress bars and radio buttons. The highlight on the bevel is too gray and too bright and doesn't fit in with the usual redish bevel color.

The tracks popping out is a nice alternative. Why not use it on the scrollbar arrows too ?

Just 3 things:

1: I'm not sure about the bevel buttons, they are way darker red than any other buttons.

2: And the toolbar background is a bit intense also. I'd say match it exactly with the Finder window color for constancy.

3: I've said this before, but I really still think you should consider it. The scroll arrows would look a lot more clean and classy if they were just solid black like the ones on the pop-downs.

A black or dark grey window texture (iTunes is limited to greys still...) with red buttons that match the system buttons and maybe a red color for the "LCD" display, and you'll have once nice looking but simple iTunes skin. You really don't need to go all out.

Missing one Finder element: the columns view column resize handle.

Edit: The list background color is a bit on the annoying pink side, but I can live with it or mod it.

he is right the pink is extremely annoyin you might do best with a white backround i don't see how someone could use this theme for a while with an ugly pink
