I do, for one. But since I work mostly from home it is a combination of work and home - but I'm working all day long, every day, even though I'm at home.

Home when I'm home. And when I'm not home I'm not at home so I would say not...but only when I'm home and away not.

I'm still working. I've been working since 8:00 AM this morning. Took a 2-hour lunch break. 7:00 PM and I'll be working until 10:00 PM. I'll be back up and working all day tomorrow trying to get work done so that the weekend is free.

I thought that when I started doing freelance work that I'd be doing things here and there. I was worried about enough work. I was so wrong...I cannot keep up with the work. I try to take it all (accept every offer) as it comes in and then work my bum off trying to keep up.

Problem is, I'm working MORE now, at home, than I was when I worked a regular job at my office.

Unbelievable.

Anyway, that's why I post a lot here - just taking a break here and there.

Occasionally. But then again, I often work from home. So it all balances out. (I think so anyway).

I monitor my stocks from work too. Yesterday was a bad day for Apple stock. I got all pale and stuff.

I was told that there was a particularly good flamefest going. So I decided to pop in for a while. Just to roast a couple of marshmallows for some s'mores. Hey, can I borrow a graham cracker?

Shortbread cookies are good. Much better with frosting than marshmallow, though.

Are they cut into cool shapes?

Yes, they're cut into shapes.

But, the best shapes are just the plain 2-inch squares, quarter inch thick, made with creamy butter and extra fine sugar...they melt in the mouth.

Wish I could give you some!

mmmm. I remember my mom making sugar cookies every Christmas. We'd sit and frost them...a little on the cookies, a little in the mouth. You could still get those little silver balls (what are they called? Dragoons or something silly like that?) I can still smell the warm cookies coming out of the oven mixing with the subtle sent of pine wafting through the house from the tinsel-strewn tree. (We didn't nail anyone to the tree, of course. That's not what Christmas trees are for.)

Good time, ma'am. Good times.

Now my mom is sitting in her florida room at their place near the space center, reading a book and not worrying about such non-sense. I miss the non-sense.

I do freelance writing/technical writing/editing.

I took this work because I thought it would pass time, I'd have some extra free time on my hands here and there, and it might be mildly interesting. Turns out that I'm bombarded with work and here it is, 12:30 AM where I am, and I've been working since 8:00 AM yesterday morning. I'll probably go to bed at about 2:00 AM. That means I will have worked 16 hours (I took 2 hours off for lunch and running some things down to the printer today) in this workday and I'll also be working tomorrow.

I think it's a sickness, to be honest. I like working/making money/whatever-you-want-to-call-it.

I do work with animals here and there through a local well-known charity. I have also fostered a lot of dogs over the years. Though, after we go an Australian shepherd a couple of months ago, I decided to take a break from fostering any animals for a while. I'm too busy with work and trying to take care of the family and still keep in shape. Plus, my dog needs a lot of time because she's obsessive compulsive (seriously so) and she needs attention to stay sane.

I hear you. It's finals time, so I've been going non-stop too. Just finished working. 8:00am meeting, then impromtu review session ALL DAY ()...then I had to write the final.

I decided to go easy on them, 'cause that was the easier exam to write.

Need sleep soon. Must photocopy early in the morning.

Work? What is this "work" of which you speak? Oh yes! I remember now!

I used to post from work when things were slow, but not often (though I'd check what was going on a bit more often than that). It was 'frowned on' to surf during working hours, but lunch was generally "ok" for a bit of surfing. Of course "work" was active duty in the Air Force, from which I retired last fall.

I started into school (again) this past summer. I do post from school sometimes, as when I get there early because it's easier to get through traffic early.

It's a generic term wifes use. They are forever "getting ready". What they are getting ready for and why they have to repeatedly do it is a secret known only to womankind.

Just a wild thought, but...work?

I've noticed that a lot of women suffer from a form of Attention Deficit known as the "but first" syndrome. Note that the word is spelled with ONE 't'! "I'll get ready to go out, but first I think I need to change purses, but first I need to clean out my wallet, but first I need to make sure..." It's a horrible affliction, and wives need our support to overcome it!

Hey Cody Dawg. Do you have a site where we could see or read some of your work. Kind of odd but I love learning about ways different people make a living by using their talents. I would love to be able to leave a job sometime and start my own business.
