I was just busy with garageband when suddenly the power of my mac mini died...
I tried to put it back on but nothing happened...
Has anyone any idea what it could be?
It's my first mac so I don't have any idea what to do.

First thing I would try is booting up in single user mode and running a file system check:

hold down the cmd+s keys after you herar the boot chime
when you arrive at the prompt type: 'fsck -yf' <return>
after it finishes repeat the last command to be safe.
after it finishes the second time type: 'reboot -n' to reboot

I know that was brief, I'll post more detailed directions if need be.

That's the problem, he won't turn on.
Could it be some sort of malfunction in the power supply?
I don't think it's an error in my mac mini, I only have it a couple of hours

Oh well, you could try reseating the power plug, on G5s at least the power connector will sort of clip into the back f the tower and I've never used a mini, but it may be similar. You m,ay also try taking any surge protectors out of the loop if any are involved.

Definitely unplug the unit and leave it unplugged for a few minutes. Doing this should reset your mini's power manager. If it does not work after you plug it back in, you'll need to take it in for servicing.
