Hi there,
At the office, I've got a big external display attached to my powerbook, and I'd like to be able to turn Expose off. How can I do this?
(I'd like to be able to turn Expose on again, when I leave the office and just have the pb display to work with)
Thanks,
Malcolm

Can't you just not use Expos while in office?

Expos can be turned off in System Preferences.

Good point, Tetanal. The thing is, I don't try to use it... I don't ever touch the F9 key, or whichever one it is... but Expose somehow keeps activating as I move my cursor aroung the displays.
That's why I want to shut it off while at the office.
(I have a brand new pb, and the trackpad isn't functioning at all - - maybe these wierd Expose issues will get solved when I solve the trackpad issue).
Thanks for the help, though. I've just switched it off in Sys. Prefs.
Cheers,
Malcolm

You probably have one of the screen corners set to activate Expos.

i have just woken up and this is off the top of my head, but what about copying the .plist file that has expose's settings. make one for on, one for off, and then write an applescript that would replace the files.

That would only work if you could also get the Dock to re-read the preferences from the preferences file.

You were right once again, Tetanal. I did have a screen corner activated. I've deactivated it, and everything is fine again.
Thanks so much.
Malcolm
