A question for you techies...
Should I go with a 1 Gb ram stick + 256 Mb stock or 2 512 Mb's? I could have
1.256 Gb split 1 Gb + 256 Mb
vs
1 Gb split 2 x 512 Mb's.
The first configuration has 256 Mb more ram than the second. However the second has an even split. My question is will the 1.256 Gb be better than the 1.0 Gb split with 25% more RAM?
I realize there is a better potential to update the 1.256 Gb to 2 Gb. But in the case of keeping the same configuration will one of the configurations outperform the other?
I have my fingers crossed hoping to recieve a cleacut answer on this one. However I know in forums concensus is usually scarce.

Are your key apps bandwidth sensitive or capacity sensitive?

I guess I'm not worried about the apps I use (mainly office stuff and internet.) I'll probably barely tap the memory. But I'm thinking more in terms of the occasional game.
