I thought folks might dig(g) this, so to speak. :-)

Digg - 23yo Apple //c Tied to Mac mini as Serial OS X Dumb Terminal

I've got my 23yo Apple //c serving as a great text terminal for OS X, tied via custom null-modem serial cable to my office Mac mini. Give it a shot for yourself! And digg it if you dig it, please.

Oh yeah, Apple even had an optional LCD screen for the //c back when. Nice work blakespot!

Would the same procedure work with an Apple IIe?-- Maybe I could give my Apple II some use, too!

Really? That's interesting. Do you (or anyone else) know of a site that displays vintage Apple computers? I am quite new to Apple myself so I'd find that very interesting.

That gives me an idea...why not put a Mac Mini inside the //c case? I mean, if memory serves me correctly, the //c is bigger than most notebooks, isn't it? Is the keyboard similar enough key-wise to function as a Mac keyboard? (Wiring might have to be modified some.)

An idea...

A mini would easily fit in side a //c. I've seen mods w/ PC's put inside a //c.

But...the //c itself is still worth usin'! Glad you guys liked the story.
