I plan on buying a Macbook and would like to use an anti-glare screen. Any recommendations?
or...following the rumours, are the new MacBooks that may be on their way soon going to still have glossy screens...?

I am awaiting the new release and will buy upon it announcement. I will choose the option for a matte screen, as should you.

Intel will release a new chip in the next couple of weeks (Centrino 2); Apple should follow with a new release within a couple of months of the chip release, I expect. But, you never know...

Cantiga-G, which the MacBook will use, won't be out for another month or two.

I doubt Apple will abandon their glossy-only policy for low end product lines.

My bad... I didn't realize there was not an option for screen types in the Macbook line.

Only on the Pro line.

So no one has heard of a screen or film that can be placed on a Macbook screen to make it matte? I'm convinced the glossy screen is hurting my eyes.

monkeybrain,

You should contact the people that make the non-glare screen protectors for the iPhone and see if they offer one for the MacBook. I have had one on my iPhone since I bought it in January and it still looks great.
