PB Setup

PB now runs average of 10C cooler, with these 2 x 80mm fans, internal fans hardly ever come on anymore. Still testing the setup, when done I'll finish it proper. Feet are aluminum, plate beneath PB is glass, fans from Thermaltake.

How do you measure the temperature?

With Temperature Monitor. Handy little prog, lets you seen temps in C and F, as well as in toolbars, dock & desktop.
There is also ThermographX. Its a little more in-depth program, but I'm not such a big fan of it. Try both and pick the one you like.

iSight with a PowerBook/iBook... looks nice in your setup, not a bad option, I think a laptop user close the lid frequently enough as to place the iSight as Apple shows.

Bought it from Inspiration Interiors here in Vancouver. Cant remember the name of the company that makes the desk though, something Swedish. Thing is solid as a rock. I can stand where my Powerbook and there's not a sound from the desk.

Thanks for the comments guys. The iPod mini really is an amazing piece of design work. When I take it to the office I get a regular crowd of admirers stopping by my office to drool. Of course, on my desk at work it doesn't look quite as good since it sits next to a fugly PC!

Funny, I too actually used my puck mouse (from my G3) with my TiBook. I thought it worked halfway decent with it.

I've departed with my TiBook for a 15" AlBook and picked up an Apple Bluetooth wireless mouse which I like a little better.

I only use the puckmouse and the keyboard because they are leftovers from older iMac, hehe. I am working on the old "ABD Optical Mouse" (see my other thread). Also, when I get more cash Im getting a larger keyboard. Thanks.
