Printing a band on a shirt, then selling the shirt, and not giving the band any money?

Isn't this illegal? Sure, however, not until you are caught.

E-mail the seller and ask them the same question to see how they respond. If not happy with the response they give you, then file a complaint with eBay and see if they will close the auction.

Why create a thread about this?

If you want to rat this guy out, then just do it. Weren't you the one in another thread state in so many words that "your brain decides what is right and wrong, blah-blah-blah rules, horumph....?

Seems like a pretty stupid thing to do for an ebay auction, I mean there's a RECORD of what you did right out in the open.

so what? - leave the guy/girl alone. s/he's only trying to make a semi-honest penny or two. it's a lot more honest than being a tax-collector, at least this person is hoping to profit from the sweat of their *own* brow.

It is probably a copyright violation which means that the owner can sue them for monetary damages. It is NOT a crime, neither a felony nor a misdemeanor.

Yeah. Wow 10 bids and it's up to a whopping $15.00

That band should be more upset about the going price than the (alleged) ripping off...

Ca$h: You used to pull the wings off of flys as a child didn't you?

Maybe we should all bid this auction up and the winner send the shirt right to the band... No harm no foul..

Have the artist sign it.

OK - you go first and bid it up to about $250 and i'll come in with a snipe in the last ten seconds.

Laws are for the weak-minded. You should decide with your own brain what is right and wrong.

Or he could call his CIA or FBI friends that visited him.

I have a question unrelated to this thread. When Ca$h goes into a store or restaraunt and it says in the window, CASH ONLY, does he feel priveledged?

He probably doesn't get that far, as most restaurants require shoes/shirts before entering.

Right well deserved it too, if you ask me. Now we just have to wait for the lock, seeing as how there's really nothing more to discuss... right?

Must've been for that post where he wished death upon the children of BigWolf (or whatever his name was).

It is usually the death-related insults that get him banned.

But he will be back and then this thread will be interesting again!

It's as illegal as software and music piracy: yes, but you're only in trouble if The Other Guy considers you worth the trouble.
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

why did he not get banned in that thread then? - seems weird to ban him retrospectively in another thread. o well, like you say - he'll be back. move along now folks - nothing to see here.

There's just a bit of a delay when it comes to banning Rob, since only admins can ban people, you have to wait until you catch up with one to get his plug pulled. He wasn't banned for anything in this thread, it was a culmination of a great many threads, and the fact that although Cash does on occasion come up with good points, he acts like a petulant teenager. If he moved on past his adolescent angst and learned how to debate his points without acting as his own worst enemy, he probably would never get banned. As it is, he thinks his in your face attitude is the way to go. Of course, he's wrong, he does nothing but alienate those that agree with him, but there is no reasoning with him, so what's there to do?
