I'm thinking of upgrading to a new G4 ibook. I am wondering my Applecare on my G3 is transferable to a G4 or if I would have to buy it all over again.

If you haven't registered your AppleCare to an iBook yet, and it says "iBook" on the top corner of the box, you CAN apply it to a G4 iBook.

The same was true about PowerMac AppleCare...doesn't matter if it's a G4 or G5 system, it'll work.

HOw long do you have to buy applecare again? Is it one year?

Does that mean you have to register your computer first and then from that date you have one year to get applecare?
