phew, i'm *very* glad i can finally set my time zone!
but... what about offering a 24h mode, as well? i admit, now, it's not as bad anymore as before, a time difference of nine hours *and* a time format i'm not used to, but...
the vast majority of countries in this world uses the 24h format, which -- as long as you don't pronounce it in "hundreds" -- is *not* what americans refer to as "military".
that and it would be like a dream coming true.

vB doesn't -seem- to have this option, but I'll look into it.

You've got the source code, get coding
One of the great things about vB is that it is endlessly customisable - don't like the options in the program? check out vbulletin.org. Don't like the mods there? Write your own!
I've not had much experience with vB in particular, but I know PHPbb lets you set any time format that the PHP language allows. I doubt it'd be too hard to add that to vB if it doesn't do it already.

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

Yes, you could hack with UBB as well, but we don't like to use hacks unless they're 100% necessary, because you have to reapply all those hacks every time you upgrade. But in any case, I will take a look.
