why no hardware sata raid 0 or 1 on pm g5?

This feature has been on 60$ pc mobos for a while now, you would think apple would implement it on their pro model. The pm g5 would be a great entry level server if it had hardware raid 1. I have tried the software raid on my dual g4 and it is slow as hell.

Does anyone know what SATA controller they're using on the logic board?

I am thinking sata controller in the g5 can probably do RAID, but apple has not implemented it.

RAID 0 is, frankly, dangerous in the wrong hands. Most users won't understand that using it can substantially increase the risk of data loss.

RAID 1 would not be bad, though the average user will have no desire for it.
