Hey All.

Since upgrading to OS 10.4.8 I've notice done major problem on my Intel Mac Mini. It seems that programs randomly quit when my computer has been idle for sometime and the monitor has turned itself off. When I come back to the computer I find that one app or another (or two or three) have quit on me with absolutely NO error messages. At first it was my web browsers, Shiira, Safari, and Firefox that would quit. I tried using the utility "Maintanence" and "Onyx" to run some automated cleaning scripts that are normally run weekly or monthly and clean out the system and kernel caches. A reboot is done after each use of these programs. I thought that worked but it seems to have only moved the problem around. After running those utilities only Shiira would quit. I ran them again and now only my EyeTV app quits. I never had this issue under 10.4.8. I'm at my wits end here. I normally keep my computer on 24/7 and I have noticed that the behaviour is more likely to occur the more ram the particular programs are using at the time.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so have they come up with a fix?
(Please note my PPC Powerbook does not experience these issues under 10.4.8)

Thanks.
