As you've seen, a lot of his threads were "[H] owns you all", etc, he of course is referring to http://www.hardocp.com , more specifically, http://www.hardforums.com (which is like our little board but all about PC's etc). The [H]ard|Forums at one point had a topic called General Mayhem (an offtopic discussion, similar to the lounge), however, it got too out of control with useless posts and extremely high activity (there must've been about 10 new posts ever second or so, everytime i hit refresh, the front page was completely different). Kyle Bennett, the creator of hardocp.com eventually shut it down earlier this month because it was costing him too much money. There was more usage from General Mayhem itself than all of the other topics combined.
A band of posters from General Mayhem go together to form their own "General Mayhem", at http://www.genmay.com. A guy named M|22 is generously hosting it right now with his fat 100Mbps connection, $1000 a month out of his own pocket, recently laid off from Enron and currently unemployed, so it's some serious charity there. GenMay was an instant success but lately, there have been a lot of Mac vs PC threads.
One of which is:
http://www.genmay.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4729
(you must register to read it, but i'll summarize)
Thread Title: Mac lovers: read it and weep
Mac lovers: read it and weep
Since you always say Macs run faster, read this! Pwned!!
here it works now
(the link goes to the digital video shootout that most of us are quite familiar with at this point, there's a big thread going on in the PowerMac forum about it)
Now, I registered with GenMay after hearing about it from the [H] (I posted quite a bit over there under a different alias, despite the trolls who simply bash the mac, there are a lot of informative topics on soldering, etc). So on page 6 and 7, I started posting. One of my posts involved:
"Exactly, many mac users are not that "stupid" at all. Their posts are a helluva lot more precise than ours in both content and longevity.
Look at this:
http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/ult...c;f=12;t=005795 "
So I'm fairly sure this is how Kasracer came to be, the thread which I just mentioned above on GenMay has received well over 800 views. Kasracer is a registered member of genmay.com (only with four posts though), but I'm sure he's simply one of those peopole who only reads the occasional thread.
So to conclude, I'm sorry about this incident as it is partially my fault.
