America's Drunkest City. Heh.

Good thing they didn't research Madison... they'd probably win, per capita.

I'm headed to Cleveland in a few hours (for the Tiger' series). Got a suite too, for Saturday night. No food, but 2 fifths of jack await me. Good times, good times.

we are all going out afterwards as a friend who is joing me in the suite owns a bar. sooo, the game is just the warm up. of course, coming hom sunday will suck. for that, there is a designated driver so i can still sleep.

You must have a huge tolerance man. That would be drinking 1125ml in 6 hours. If you were 200lbs, you'd have a BAC of around .44g. That's death coma/death for most people. I believe you, but you must do alot of heavy drinking

What's a "shot" of beer?

I know a guy who once spent £80 on beer (about 40 pints) to win the £50 top prize in a beer drinking competition once.

I don't know but I think it's either 2cl or 4cl of beer!?

What is one beer? 0.33l? 0.5l? a pint? 1L?

This guy had 40pints???
Did he survive?

(the most I ever had was 8L - around 15 pints)

It's an imperial pint here. No idea what these guys are talking about though.

Yeah. He's a huge guy though. 6'8", 350+ lbs. And he's well conditioned in the art of drinking.

I have no idea how much I've had in one sitting (in the old days - a single bottle of Bud gets me away these days). But at one point I passed a breath test on 12 pints on one of the calibrated station machines (yes, yes, I know. I used to be severely stupid).

(Bear in mind that this isn't German beer I'm talking about! More like Castlemaine or similar)

Do you consider Germany beer to be strong or light?
The only info I could find about Castlemaine was something like 3.5% of alcohol - sounds like pretty light beer to me!?

(in Bavaria, where I come from, one beer is 0.5 liters - here in Hamburg it would be 0.33 liters - both less than a pint)

edit: "Germany beer"??? WTF did I write there?

I don't know too much about German beer, but I suspect it's on a par with our high-mid strengths.

Castlemaine in UK is 4% (according to Wiki). I'm not saying that it was Castlemaine as it'd probably be whatever came under the 'lager" category. They generally seem to be in the region of 4% but I was always more interested in the chicks in the tight spandex pants to bother with the details of the "props".

a "shot" is a shot glass full...dammed if i know how much a shot glass holds.

12-13 beers in 100 minutes might not sound like a big deal, but finishing it one shot at a time for 100 minutes is quite the task.

I've tried a power-hour (1 shot of beer / hour) a few times and it seems like no matter what I get to about 35-40 and I have to go to the bathroom and kill my streak. I'll have to try again soon.

yes, done the centry club...100 ounces of beer; 1 ounce at a time for 100 minutes.

as for heavy drinking, yes...i use to. instead of every weekend or more often even (for some 12 years), it is now on a very rarely time frame (camping trips, events like this in a suite).

and i'm 6'5" 372lbs (weighed last week at the doctor); so not only do i have a high tolerance, i got lots of room to put it away.

anyway, off to cleveland. back on sunday.

Dashboard says that this is 3cl or exactly 0.029 liters - hmm, 3 liters in 1h40min sounds not much but quite quick! Could be problematic! I drank the 8 liters in about 12 hours.

That was the same night that one of my friends projectile-vomited and cleared a distance of 10'. Impressive.

rolled back in around 1pm sunday. good times where had by all. and the suite stocked 2 liter bottles, not 2 fifths. so that was nice. got into the stadium about 5:40. first liter was gone by the national anthem...2nd liter was gone by the start of the 4th. 3 people were drink it. not too bad.

Oddly I find I (and everyone I ever see) does more drinking in Japan than would ever be possible in Milwaukee. I mean I hardly ever drank in Milwaukee... and here I am... on a school night... drunk off my behind....

(just kidding)
