I'm trying to configure two different bulletin boards, and I'm prompted withto fill in the following:
Database Server Hostname / DSN
Your Database Name
Database Username
Database Password
I'm hosting this on my own computer (running OS X Server). Can someone tell me what they mean? Thanks.

Try the following:
-------------------------------------------
Database Server Hostname / DSN - localhost (Assuming the db is on the same server. Otherwise enter the servers name here)
Your Database Name - You need to create a empty db for phpBB. This is the name of the db you created in mySQL or whatever db you are using.
Database Username - Account name of a db user with rights to the database above.
Database Password - Password for the above account.
-------------------------------------------
You can find the installation instructions here http://www.phpbb.com/guide/phpBB_Use....html#section2
I have phpBB set up here -> http://www.apoforum.com
If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks for the info!
And sorry for sounding like a newbie, but how do I create a db account? I'm also trying to install Movable Type, and I am "forbidden" to access the cgi files, proabably because I need a db account.
