Just for web testing, light office stuff. Is there any reason to get VMWare? Is it faster? Is there a speed comparison?

Parallels 2-something hosed my Boot Camp partition. Many others reported the same. I switched to VMware because of it.

Your mileage may vary. I was pleased with Parallels before the mishap, and was fine with it after (but on a virtual machine, not running from boot camp).

I've had no problems on two different computers using a variety of Parallels version 2.X. No Boot Camp problems at all. There hasn't been enough discussion of details when people report the hosing of their BC partitions, (some people report that Windows just won't boot, others report actual partition errors, nobody has explicitly discussed the details of the events...), but for safety I'd keep my Windows installation well backed up. Obviously a lot of people like VMWare. I tried the beta and couldn't get the darn thing to run, so I don't have an opinion on how well it works.
