One of the areas of software the Mac has always been lacking in is high end 3D engineering CAD apps. Well, today appears to be the start of the reversal of that: UGS has
announced that they have ported NX (formerly Unigraphics) to Mac OS X.
According to ThinkSecret this is mainly due to Apple committing to buying a set number of licenses for their own industrial design team. As much as I would have preferred SolidWorks or ProEngineer it's a start at least
