Your referral only counts when you KNOW you were the one that convinced them to get a MacBook.
My current count is 4 people since I got a macbook myself.

Just one. A teacher friend of mine. She 's owned Macs before (SE/30 and later a PowerBook 3400/180) and recently got exposed to Mac OS X for the first time when I lent her my old PowerBook G4/667 so it wasn't a hard sell.
I so want my coworker to get one, or at least a Mac mini. We're Java software developers and he likes my Mac a lot but doesn't want to spend the bucks on himself and the Dell boxes work set us up with aren't too bad (at least for running Tomcat and Eclipse). But doing Java dev on my MacBook is amazing...it's super-speedy and both portable for when I have to give work demos and a great desktop replacement with the DVI adapter and the 20" Dell display work set me up with.

2... one through a professional presentation to Iowa Educators, one via a one-on-one demo with an art teacher. I'm working closely with an assistant principal trying to convince her to let go of her PowerBook running OS 9. On an Apple commision... unfortunately not.

3 artists (iMacs and MacBooks), 2 profs at college, and 1 other friend. I have turned too many to count away from Winblows over the years. It is people like us that make these things fly off the shelves.

None. Apple doesn't pay me for referrals and it's usually more trouble than it's worth.
The main issue: "You're the Mac guy. Can you help me with..." Free tech support for life is not what I signed up for.
I've had bad experiences with two people (my best friend and also my mom). They needed a new computer. I talked them into a Mac. It wasn't what they were used to, they refused to even TRY to learn it and they blamed the machine.
Today my boss just asked about getting a laptop for her daughter for college. I told her to check the Best Buy ad for the Toshiba on sale for $799.
I love my Macs. I no longer care whether you do.

2 MacBooks, 5 iMacs, and a MacBook Pro. All previous Windows users.
Our numbers are growing.
P.S. Apple, where's my referral fee?

I'm the one they call to clean the malware off their Windows PCs, so since I'm doing free tech support anyway, I'd prefer doing it on the Mac. Far fewer calls that way.

4, the fiancée is getting one as soon as they ship it with Leopard, my Computer Sciences Teacher, a life-long *NIX/Windows guy, gamer friend who was sick of viruses and crappy software, and another friend's brother who up until a week ago hated Macs. Everyone of them has said "You Mac guys are the best salespeople I've ever seen." :-)

4 MacBooks and 3 PowerBooks. Everyone of them was a Windows user prior to their purchase...I guess my last name (Evangelist) is no coincidence.
Apple needs to hire me I think.

I plan on buying a MacBook in the near future, I ma a computer systems specialist and used windows and in our training had to use windows systems. I dislike working on windows because it is not a very stable systemno matter how many improvements it gets. I actually plan on getting Apple certified to work provide technical support for macs. once everyone sees macs usefulness and ease of use, maybe they will convert, especially if they have to invest in new computers to support vista...massive resource hog! Can't wait to get Mac!

1 iBook (about a year ago) and 1 MacBook. She technically hasn't bought the MB yet, but she plans 100% on getting it once her current HP moves on (which won't be long).
I've also got two Linux converts, if that counts for anything... Oh, and more Firefox converts than I can count.
