This one is absolutly gorgeous! It brings back the old days of Copland. It is not only a remarkable milestone by the guys in the IF, but an impressive set!

I love the icons 48px and higher... but it's too OS9'y for my taste below 48px

Great set though! Congrats on 200 guys!

Can anyone read the title on the iPod icon? It looks like the second line says "THAT DON'T SUCK" ?

The trashcan on this set is stunning.

But I would have to say the LOTR set was their best for quality and detail.

I think (whatever your dumb name is) is the only one making asshat comments.

My comment was not that it was the 200th, I'm glad for them and I've used many of the icons and I visit that site regularly. No, my comment was that I did not find the icon set particularly thrilling. The garbage was nice but the others left me wanting. I much preferred some of the previous sets, the Justice League, totem poles and LOTR, and think they would have been more dynamic sets for the 200th.

So until you actually know what a person meant, maybe you should shut up. Huh?

I disagree with you... if you open the icons in pixadex and scaled them down and enlarge them in size you see how amazing they are in every icon are 3 different icons check it out...then tell me wha tyou think

I'm not knocking the quality at all. And the old-school feel is kind of nice, but it's precisely what you said what bugs me about them. They are detailed but unless you use them large, I don't think they stand out as much as other sets.

Too many icons sets these days (and this isn't just IF) are geared toward large-scale views. And in the dock, or on desktops that display in smaller sizes (I'm using 56x56 right now), many details get lost.

I'm a big fan of IF and I apologize to anyone who misconstrued my first comment as a negative about the site or the accomplishment. Not the case. I just kept hearing about something truly wonderful all week from it and I was a bit disappointed.

Fine, I see your point. I guess because they didn't knock me off my feet at first glance, I didn't spend too much time on them.

Thanks IF

200 free and fantastic icon sets and when you know how long it takes to create one icon in two or three different sizes then you know that this is quite an achievement....
