I've got a 12" Rev D PB, and lately I've noticed that I'm able to see imprints of the keys on the display. It's similar to the old iBook problem, where the lid (i don't know, closed too far) and caused the display to be pushing against the keys. Is this a known problem, and what should I do about it? I'm still under the 1 year warranty (purchased at the end of June), and it's kind of ticking me off. It's not incredibly noticeable at full brightness, but I can see it when the brightness is turned down, which is what I normally do to save battery life. My biggest concern is that it will damage the display, since pressure on an LCD does not usually produce good things.

What you can do is clean your screen, then buy either a screen protector or a nice chunk of felt fabric to stick between your keyboard and your screen. Also cleaning your keyboard now and then is a good idea.
I get the same problem from my keyboard cover, but keeping the cover clean and the screen clean helps a lot.

Basically, the "imprints" are actually just grease left on the keys from your fingers that have transferred to the screen. Cleaning it will remove the grease (either use a lint free cloth with water, or get iKlear or another LCD cleaner), and the "screen protector" (I personally use a piece of OHP acetate) will stop the transfer from happening again.

get the radtech wildeepz. i took some extra drawer stoppers that came with my drawers from ikea (pretty much identical to the radtech product) and put one on the right top and one on the top left and there is no way in hell my screen will ever touch my keyboard...unless somebody sat on it or something.

1) A damp Radtech screensaverz cloth used to wipe the screen will get rid of key imprints easily.
2) A dry Radtech screensaverz cloth left inside a closed PowerBook will not necessarily prevent future imprints however. I keep one in my PB G4 15 and commute 3 hours a day with it in my backpack. The constant moving around causes the screensaverz cloth to actually "polish" the screen where the keys are and makes things worse than not having it at all. Fortunately, when this happens, I refer to 1) above.

As had been correctly said: The imprints are only grease and can be removed. But if you wait for a long time, finally the screen will be scratched and the marks will become permanent.
A cloth between screen and keyboard works well. You can decide to throw $$$ for a professional product or cents for a custom made piece. I use silk (1$) that looks great and did a perfect job since my iBook blueberry.
