I buy Reduced Fat Chunky Skippy. Jif has too much sugar in it.
And Polamer All Fruit in any flavor except black cherry. That one's too sweet.
Could a moderator merge this thread with the one about hamburgers and fries?

I prefer Skippy. The "real" peanut butters always turn into an oily mess after a couple days in the cupboard. The oil separates from the peanut butter and you gotta mix it all together each time. Its just gross.
As far as jelly, I like strawberry. My Mom makes the best homemade strawberry jam ever, and after having it I can't go back to store bought jelly or jam.

I eat crunchy unsalted, unsweetened peanut butter, but my wife loves Jif, so we have two different kinds in the house. Jif is sweetened with molases, so it has a different flavor from other peanut butters. It is also slightly salted, so I agree with you about how it tastes salty compared to others.
And I use either Smuckers or Polaner's all-fruit jellies. While black cherry tastes sweeter, it's not sweetened more, it's just sweeter fruit. I love it. But apricot is my favorite!

Natural PB is the best. JIF, Skippy, etc all have trans fatty acids that will clog your arteries. For the natural stuff, just close it up tight and turn it upside down whenever you reach past it in the cupboard. A couple stirs and it's good to go.
I prefer Natural Almond Butter & Honey instead of PB&J.

When I have time to get across town, I get Whole Foods' organic peanut butter. However, there are a lot of brands that make unsalted, unsweetened "natural" peanut butter. Just look around at the selection at your grocery store. Right now I have HEB Central Market All Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter. The labels says "No hydrogenated oils, no preservatives, no added sweeteners or salt." On the back it says "Ingredients: Dry roasted peanuts." HEB is a local grocery chain, by the way.

Love it, but only organic. The processed stuff contain everything from trans fatty acids to hydrogenated oils which can be heart disease and cancer causing.

I think it all depends on the quantity of oil in the peanut butter. I've noticed this over the years, but my wife hasn't. She still buys the bad stuff. It won't spread, and it doesn't taste as good. Of course, I can't say anything or I'll be the one buying the groceries.

I've been eating Jif for years, and I've always liked it. About a year ago, I was shopping at Costco, and I came across this, and I love it! They don't carry it very often however.

I was at Trader Joe's tonight and picked up two jars of unsalted creamy peanut butter.
There's nothing in it but "dry roasted peanuts". I have peanut butter toast for breakfast
almost every day of the week and frequently I'll have a peanut butter sandwich at lunch.
For those of your grossed out by the oil, that's a GOOD sign, all-natural peanut butter
is oily. When you buy peanut butter that doesn't get oily you've got some other crap in
there instead, usually some partially hydrogen oil, that keeps it from separating. But
that crap sticks to your arteries and is bad, bad, bad.
Mmmm, I can't wait for breakfast now.

Natural peanut butter tastes great anytime.
PB with blueberry preserves, grape jelly, sometimes strawberry preserves, in ice cream with chocolate syrup... mmm Also almond butter - straight or with chocolate or honey... damn this thread, now I'm hungry.

I haven't bought peanut butter in almost a year though I'm sure, not much of a sandwich person. Gah this thread is funny because I bought a small bag of peanut butter cups today!
Mmm.. But no, I'm not gonna eat any. Kinda late to have a sugar high.

No, and I really don't get it?! How Americans allways loves peanutbutter?!
It tastes salty and its oily, Yaikes!
It must be because you've never tried Nutella.
Nutella is just muuuch better than PB. It tastes like soft chokolate and you put in on white bread, Yummie!
Check this out: www.nutellausa.com
If you ever gets a chance to try it, just do it!
I am back to work now

Here's a warning...
The more Nutella you eat, the worse it tastes. It's a fact! try it. Not saying it's bad. It's just one of those very rare foods which makes you sick of it when you eat more of it.

Yes, I like peanut butter. I prefer the chunky style. A good source of protein and calories.

I much prefer Chunky, and will eat most brands.
But I prefer my PB in a peanut butter cup or Butterfinger bar. ;-)

If you get a case of the runs in the field, MRE peanut butter spread on MRE crackers will usually take care of it
Don't eat it if you like to be a on a regular p00p schedule.
As far as actual Peanut Butter goes, if the ingredients label reads anything other than "Peanuts", I won't eat it (well, maybe they can add some salt).
