Just curious... should I keep them? Perhaps they can sell on eBay for $30-40 CDN. What are you all doing with yours?

One school of thought is that you keep them to put back into the MB when it needs to go back to Applecare. Rather pessimistic assumption that a high percentage of MBs needs to go to Applecare--and that Apple will blame the 3rd party RAM for any and all problems.

I'm also keeping mine for a possible RMA... 256MB modules are near worthless anyways.

Man installing the ram for the first was certainly freaky... my heart was pounding lol.

Your first upgrade on a Mac is always the toughest. Then after that you get confident and break something

I guess I'll be keeping mine when I upgrade.

I kept my iBook's 512MB chip for 2.5 years, and returned it when RMA-ing the iBook. Apple can have it!

The RAM install definitely feels weird on the MacBook. It just slides in and stops. I miss hearing a satisfying "click" when the memory is inserted.

Definitely keep them in case you ever have to send your computer in for repairs. I have seen several people who have had problems blamed by AppleCare on third-party upgrades like RAM and hard drives.

Ditto. As much as it would make a cool keychain, I'd rather keep it just in case. I also wouldn't want to have to argue with Apple if they were to somehow lose the 2 gigs I put in there.
