Hell yes... I've been DYING to play through the single player campaign but made an agreement with my friends that we'd all wait til the weekend and play through it on co-op. Based on how good the multiplayer is, though, I have no doubt that my top 10 list will be due for adjustment after we're done

Finished Halo 3 campaign on Legendary on the weekend (co-op) - and I have to say, it was the best fun I've had in a LONNGGGGG time!! It took me an hour or so to get right into it (I was expecting it to be the second coming, and it pretty much just throws you right back in where halo 2 left of, which in retrospect is perfect anyway), but once you get over your preconceptions and just start getting into the game, it's incredible. Incredibly well paced from start to finish, minimal back-tracking, smarter enemies (every brute you take down is so satisfying...), and the best story resolution one could hope for. Bungie wraps up the Halo series PERFECTLY. I'm gona have to shuffle my top 10 list now

Great list I've always been scared to start WoW, coz I know how people get lost in it... I have limited gaming time and i'm not prepared to lose too much of it to any single game, I feel like i'd be missing out on too many other games.
...then I found bungie.net the day after playing Halo 3... I think I'm in the poo

And it's even better on the 360 as you can get all of the downloadable content that was never made available on the PS3. . . . It extends the game at least another 50 hours!

Fun thread. My video game playing days were all but over by the time Mario Kart was popular on the N64. It was hard to narrow the list down to 10, but here goes:

1) Ms. Pacman
2) Street Fighter 2
3) The Legend of Zelda
4) Super Metroid
5) Final Fantasy 1 and 2
6) Metal Gear
7) Mario Kart 64
8) Marathon
9) Kid Icarus
10) Mega Man 2

List notes:
• Pacman had nothing on Ms. Pacman - moving fruit, smarter ghosts, and the mazes were easier to see.
• When Street Fighter 2 came to SNES it was so freaking sweet, it almost felt criminal you didn't have to go to the arcade anymore (it was the beginning of the end for arcades in my area).
• The Legend of Zelda took video games to the next level of immersiveness. Who had Zelda nightmares as a kid? I did!
• Super Metroid (and Metroid) were just badass.
• Final Fantasy 1 and 2 set the RPG bar (respectful nod towards Dragon Warrior).
• The original Metal Gear on the NES was way ahead of its time.
• Mario Kart 64 - ah, the memories.
• Marathon on a local AppleTalk network was so cool, mac gaming at its finest.
• Kid Icarus had the game play, graphics, and cool music.
• Mega Man 2 ironed out some of the bugs from the original, and who can forget the pump-you-up music everytime you selected a level? F-ya!

OMG Gears of War (PC) is awesome.
Call of Duty 4 gets my vote for one of the best games of all time.

This next week sees the release of Crysis, Need for Speed Pro Street, Assassin's Creed and Unreal Tournament III. Man it is good to be alive.
