I tried to import photos from my digital camera to my computer using iPhoto. Being stupid, I chose to delete the photos from the card after the import. then I left for a few minutes and came back. My computer was on standby, and so i pressed 'enter'. The computer turned back on, but all the pictures were gone, like they had never existed on either the card or the computer. Can they be recovered?

Thanks,
Patrick

that seems like a bizarre problem. Did you save the files after it were transferred over?

A longshot but check the "Last Import" folder - your camera date may be set incorrectly.

I found this out the hard way when I imported photos from my mother inlaws camera without knowing that the camera date was not set properly (8 months off - go figure). I found the photos appeared chronologically way up in the library window by their incorrect date.
