I have a Canon i560 I've been using through USB for a year now.
I have my DP800 G4 connected to a router connected to the internet.
I also have an Airport Express connected to the router so the wife can surf wirelessly.
I want to put the Printer on the AEx print server, but when I do, the G4 cannot detect it.

Airport Express shows it as a connected printer, but the G4 doesn't show it while using any connection protocol (Rendezvous is what help says I should use.)

Is there something I am doing wrong? The printer is supposedly Rendezvous capable. Do I have to enable rendezvous printer searching somewhere? I have tried to find the printer through the printer setup, but no luck.

Help!

Well, it looks like the only way to do it is with a wireless airport card. I had a spare so I installed it and it worked. If I turn off airport, it does not print even though it is connected through the router.

I guess Apple's ethernet port is really just for the internet connection, not a through-port for communicating with the AE.
